On a frigid weekend in February, the Geekset crew saddled up and made the mighty trek down to Chicago. From all across the land the people descended unto the Windy City to visit the Comic & Entertainment Expo, dubbed C2E2 to take in the sights and sounds of wonders across geekdom.
If you couldn’t tell from my (hopefully) fantastical intro, we were at C2E2 this past weekend! 3 whole days of comic and entertainment fun, and we were able to be immersed in it all. We saw Cosplay groups like the 501st Garrison escort Darth Vader onto the main stage, sat in on various industry panels such as the Funimation & Crunchyroll panels, and sat in on various Q&A’s with some of the leading names in comics and entertainment.
C2E2 was an experience, and if you didn’t get a chance to attend, the Geekset crew has you covered on all fronts. First up, check out our official review podcast here. Recorded Saturday night of C2E2, this was an informal look back at the convention, full of all of our highlights and favorite moments. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Geekset podcast if we didn’t celebrate our wins, and coming off the high of the convention, there was much celebrating to be had. This was a fun one to record and I hope you all enjoy it too.
So, with the audio covered, you’ll likely also want to know how did C2E2 look?! What’re these amazing sights and sounds that we’ve been raving about? We have you covered there too! Pop on over to the Geekset Instagram and check out all of the amazing shots that we took, of course you can also see some of them here in this very article, as well. Lastly, be on the lookout for our wrap up video where we’ll show some shots of us walking the floor and hit on things that we may have missed in our other formats.
Were you at C2E2? Let us know your favorite moments on Twitter or in our Facebook group! We’d love to hear what cosplays you loved, what panels you attended, and what kind of collectables you came away with. (I got a feudal era Darth Vader poster that I will definitely be sharing once I get it framed!) Also please don’t forget to rate & review the podcast, as it continues to give us feedback and help us do great things!
