Yase Plays: The Gaming Gun

Hey guys! Gamescom2026 was a blast and I am back with a different type of indie review!
Can you imagine booting up your PC, ready to get in some gaming action and realizing that for most of your life you were chasing high DPI and pretty lights and worn out mouse pads, while completely ignoring how well your computer mouse fit with your hand size and shape?
How much time and space every driver you had to install, reinstall or deinstall took from you?
How often you got stuck at fast paced shooters because of how much the weight class that you chose for your PC mouse, just mismatched your intentions?
If any of this applies to you then today, then ARKADE and I have something special for you.
How about for a change instead of indie games for once I show you an indie gaming device?

At gamescom 2026 I had the honor of trying ARKADE’s amazing new gaming mouse: The gaming gun! Testing it out during a fun round of target shooting practice in half-life 2.
The first thing I would like to praise immensely is that the days of worrying that your PC and your driver and any software or hardwore giving you problems working together are over.
Because why get stuck with overhyped DPI and polling rates when you shouldn’t be bringing a mouse to a gun fight in the first place, right?
Barely a minute to plug and play, with a proprietary 2.4GHz wireless connection with low latency for highly responsive, competitive gameplay, the entire world of gaming is entirely yours.
And with only 60 seconds to set up, there’s then 8+ hours of uninterrupted gameplay on full charge. When the battery does run low though, you simply place it on the USB-C docking station—the magnetic connector snaps perfectly into place for effortless replenishing of battery power.
Having held and played with it, it’s basically weightless, making it so easy to maneuver and the integrated joystick into the gun, makes it so easy to steer and move the camera.
Operate the trigger and also use your thumb to move and pull the joystick making moving around and shooting feel like a natural process without needing to be super good at hand and eye coordination tasks. Even a beginner like me immediately got the hang of it, and I fell in love with it.

This isn’t paid advertisement whatsoever, you guys can bet, I will be getting one as the hard-core gamer that I am. And from my indie games reviews, you guys already know I don’t review things I don’t like here at Geekset.
Let’s get to the diversity of game selections next:
Working as a full power house, the Arkade gaming gun is compatible with over 200 tested FPS games including the classical shooters such as Call of Duty, Valorant, CS2, Apex Legends, Overwatch 2 and many others.
If it's a first-person shooter, chances are, you can play them gaming gun in hand.
Now you might start thinking “But Yase, I’m not the biggest fan of shooters, I don’t really play shooters.”
That’s okay, I am neither, but as it is a fully integrated and functional computer mouse that just looks like an incredibly cool LED lit gun, you can play many supported games that aren’t necessarily heavy or hardcore shooters.
For example: Have you ever gotten into it with a Minecraft character and wished you had that thang on you?
I promise Minecraft with a gun is just a so much more fun.
Or what about during those indeed very scary and evil Resident Evil play sessions, where just a controller leaves you helpless? You could instead just plug and play the gaming gun, and feel safer with both you and Leon armed and ready. Even though the gaming gun does sadly not come with the hot looks and agility of Leon Kennedy. You can make it work though!
Any first person game you can imagine, if you can play with a mouse the gaming gun can play it too. With the new GTA finally around the corner (finally, right??), the gaming gun might be a worthy and worthwhile purchase to consider.
Another thing that works exceptionally well are those LED lights I mentioned prior.
The Arkade Gaming Gun features over 1,000 individually addressable RGB LEDs that display animated patterns.
You can download community skins, create your own in the ARKADE-made editor, or enable reactive mode where the LEDs respond to in-game events.
The best part is, the LED patterns are basically your own personal pixel art animations and pictures displayed on your gun.
On top of all the amazing qualities listed, ARKADE is currently giving away 300 free gaming guns to creators, beta testers and passionate community members, follower count alone will not decide who gets one. Skill matters. Creativity matters. Community matters. Arkade is looking for people ready to play, test, stream, create, and help shape what comes next!

Currently the gaming gun is on the ARKADE website and still open for founder unit pre-orders, with a guaranteed hundred dollars off, making the total price $299 at a discount and full price $399 with guaranteed shipping to your doorstep before Christmas 2026.
Definitely consider getting in that founder unit, receiving all the benefits of being an early supporter, joining in the discord and being there as a first person (pun unintended), for all future community events, giving out of new products and more!
We at Geekset are definitely looking forward to receiving ours in the mail.
Thank you for your time despite this being my very first product review this time around!
Yase out!
